210 Amlent Avenue is a full-length musical theatre piece exploring family, desire, and loss through dialogue and music that straddle the traditional and the contemporary. The story follows retired actress Mrs. Jordan as she throws a get-together for friends to pay their respects to her recently-deceased husband, the famous Broadway director. Everything changes when Judah, a young friend of the family, shows up seeking answers about his own dead parents. Attractions form, schemes intersect, secrets are revealed, and no one will get away unchanged.
The play’s development began in January of 2012. It has since been seen in staged readings at the Staller Center for the Arts and the Tabler Arts Center in Stony Brook, NY, and has also been presented by Rogue Readings and workshopped with The Cry Havoc Company. It was an Official Selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival Developmental Reading Series. Visit 210AmlentAvenue.com or contact me for more info.
